Bloom IVF, Opera House is the Babies and Us Fertility IVF and ICSI Centre, a South Mumbai fertility clinic of the Bloom IVF Group located on the 4th floor of Bombay Mutual Terrace at Opera House. It serves couples from South Mumbai, Girgaon, Marine Lines, Charni Road and Grant Road and offers the complete range of assisted reproduction treatment under the guidance of the group's founders.
Bloom IVF Group was founded by Dr. Hrishikesh Pai and Dr. Nandita Palshetkar, two of India's best-known reproductive medicine specialists; Dr. Pai's first IVF clinic opened around 1990, when India had only a handful of IVF units. Dr. Pai trained in IVF at the Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne, is a Fellow ad eundem of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (London) and was President-Elect of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) for 2022-23, while Dr. Palshetkar (MD, FCPS, FICOG) brings over 30 years of experience in IVF and infertility management. The group today runs 15+ fertility centres with 100+ doctors and reports more than 35,000 successful deliveries.
The centre treats both female and male infertility. Services include IUI, IVF and ICSI, management of PCOS and endometriosis, egg, embryo and sperm freezing by vitrification, and a donor egg programme. For male factor infertility it offers hormonal therapy, treatment for erectile dysfunction and azoospermia, and surgical sperm retrieval by TESA, PESA and Micro-TESE.
The laboratory uses time-lapse embryo monitoring, laser-assisted hatching and advanced sperm selection by MACS and microfluidics, working to strict laboratory protocols. Treatment plans are individualised, with success depending on age, diagnosis and embryo quality.
Bloom IVF has been listed among the top IVF centres in India, Mumbai and Delhi in the Times Health Survey (Times of India) for several consecutive years, and in the Outlook Best Hospital Ranking 2026 its Fortis Bloom IVF Centre at Fortis La Femme, New Delhi was ranked first in Delhi and its Lilavati Hospital unit second in Mumbai. ABOUT INFRASTRUCTURE
The Opera House centre is an outpatient fertility clinic on the 4th floor of Bombay Mutual Terrace with a reception area, patient sitting area, consultation rooms and treatment zones. Beds are not applicable as procedures are performed on a day-care basis.
Its embryology laboratory offers time-lapse embryo monitoring, laser-assisted hatching and sperm selection using MACS and microfluidics, alongside facilities for vitrification of eggs, embryos and sperm, and the andrology work-up needed for male infertility treatment and surgical sperm retrieval.
